"Forbidden" Festival

An exhibition-journey through the Gorki Leninskie Nature Reserve, through layers of frozen time, in search of human emotions.

More than 40 contemporary artists will participate in the project, including both world-renowned stars and new names.

Guests will find large-scale installations in the park, interactive performances, performances, concerts, poetry readings, public talks, lectures, and wellness practices. The project's starting point is an exhibition in the historical stable building of Zinaida Grigorievna Morozova, which has been transformed into a new art space.

The festival will be the largest open-air contemporary art event in the Moscow region.

Art Deco Fashion in the Collections of the State Hermitage Museum and Nazim Mustafayev

The display is devoted to women’s fashion during the 1920s and early 1930s, the years when Art Deco was the prevailing style.

“There was always a feeling that Russia slipped past the Art Deco era. This exhibition shows that it did not do so entirely. We have some excellent collections, and through the lens of those one can discover the motifs of this interesting style in this country’s culture as well, and in architecture, and the cinema. One more indication of the usefulness of museum study,” Mikhail Piotrovsky, General Director of the State Hermitage, commented.
